Asphalt Paving & Sealcoating Contractors in Washougal, WA

Washougal is Washington’s gateway to the Columbia River Gorge, where SR-14 runs past the Pendleton woolen mill and newer subdivisions climb the hillside above the river. Porter’s crew works out of Gresham, just across the bridge, ready for driveways, HOA roads, and commercial lots on the Washougal side of the water.

Local to Washougal

Washington's Gateway to the Gorge

Washougal sits right where the Columbia River Gorge starts on the Washington side. SR-14 runs through town past the Pendleton woolen mill and keeps going east into Gorge wind country, and the town is growing fast up the hillside above the river.

The newer subdivisions climbing those hills bring steep driveways and big concrete-to-asphalt transitions that need real grading, not just a flat pour. And because Washougal marks where the Gorge wind starts to pick up, asphalt out here takes more of a beating than it does further from the wind. Porter’s crew is based in Gresham, just across the bridge, so a Washougal estimate is a normal stop on the schedule, not a special trip.

Why Washougal Calls Porter

Gorge-wind-tested sealcoating for a town where that wind starts to pick up.

Grading and paving for the steep new-construction driveways above the river.

Striping, sealcoating, and repair for commercial lots along SR-14.

Based in Gresham, just across the bridge and well within our regular service area.

How We Work

Prep-First, Every Time

A Washougal estimate gets the same process Porter runs everywhere else in the service area.

1

Walk the job

Porter looks at the driveway, road, or lot in person and gives a straight, honest bid.

2

Scrub & prep

Machines clear moss, dirt, and debris off the surface before any sealer or asphalt goes down. It’s half the job.

3

Pave, seal, or stripe

Commercial-grade material applied by a crew that works fast and clean, then left to cure.

FAQ

Washougal FAQs

Yes. Washougal is well within our regular service area, just across the bridge from our Gresham base. We handle driveways, HOA roads, and commercial lots on the Washington side of the Gorge. We hold Oregon CCB #223290, and every job is bonded and insured.

It does, if it’s prepped right. The newer developments above Washougal deal with more runoff and more Gorge wind than a flat lot in town, so we scrub the surface clean before sealing and grade for water instead of letting it pool. Standard sealcoat cadence is every 3–5 years, and wind-exposed slopes are worth watching for earlier wear.

Yes. Commercial lots along SR-14 and near the mill get the same striping work we do across the rest of the service area: layouts, re-stripes, curb marking, stencils, and ADA-compliant striping for retail and office lots.

Machine scrubbing to clear moss, dirt, and debris, plus crack filling where needed, before any sealer goes down. Skipping prep is why some sealcoat jobs fail early. We don’t skip it.
